How The Transfer Process Works
From online purchase to local pickup, we make the process easy to understand.
Buy your firearm or NFA item from the online retailer of your choice.
Choose Quick Draw Gun as your receiving FFL during checkout, or ask us to provide our FFL information directly to the seller.
Have the seller include your name and contact information with the shipment.
We will contact you as soon as your item has been checked in and is ready for pickup. Please allow up to 24 hours after delivery for receiving and processing.
Complete the required transfer paperwork and background check.
Once all legal requirements are met, you can take your new purchase home.

Standard Firearm Transfers
- Handgun transfers require a valid Missouri-issued ID.
- Long gun transfers accept valid IDs from Missouri and neighboring states, except Illinois.
- A valid government-issued photo ID with your current address is preferred.
- If your ID does not show your current address, additional government-issued identification or other documentation showing your current address may be accepted.
NFA Transfers
- Valid government-issued photo ID with your current address.

How much are NFA transfers?
First-time NFA transfers are $100 when we need to take fingerprints and create your NFA profile. If you are already in our system, NFA transfers are $50 per NFA item.
How long does the transfer process take?
Standard firearm transfers are typically completed once your firearm has been checked in and your background check is approved. Please allow up to 24 hours after delivery for us to receive, process, and log your shipment.
